Unless you are lucky enough to live right on the coast chances are you will not be able to get fresh saltwater fish. Some individuals do live in larger cities and suppliers may be able to fly in their catch but this can make it fairly expensive. You may still get the same flavor with a different cut but it may not look the same or cook for the same length of time. This means you may need to do a little bit of work to have your recipe turn out the way it should.

Salmon tends to be pink and has a lovely rich flavor. It is high in omega fatty acids and other beneficial ingredients. It is also low in unhealthy fats and can help improve a person's health if it is eaten in large quantities. It also tends to be lower in some toxins and pollutants than other cold-water fish are. It can also help with joint pain and inflammation.

You may want to consider working with tuna as well as with other types of fish. Some individuals may be more familiar with tinned meat and may not realize how easy it is to cook a tuna steak. It can be pricey though especially if it is top-quality, sushi-grade meat.
